AT THE ARK PRESCHOOL...
We consider each child special!  We work in conjunction with the parents and family in helping the young child recognize his or her uniqueness.  The preschool years are critical years in the development of today's children when they are developing their outlook on life, the world around them, other people, and themselves.  The Preschool experience can be an important assistance in helping your child develop his or her highest potential.

The Ark is part of the caring ministry of Christian people at the Church of God in Otsego.  Hundreds of area children have been a part of the Ark family.

OUR GOAL AT THE ARK...
is to create a climate of acceptance, love, trust and discipline, with programs of learning and enrichment where young children will experience growth in:

• feelings of confidence and self-worth
• relating to his/her peers in a positive way
• learning positive ways to handle frustration
• achieving physical skills
• expanding the child's desire to learn and discover
• teaching pre-kindergarten readiness skills
• developing spiritual awareness of God, others, and His creation.

CALENDAR
Class visit day is Wednesday after Labor Day and regular class sessions begin the following week.  Classes end just before Memorial Day.  The Ark follows the Otsego Schools calendar for most holidays and vacations.

TUITION SCHEDULE
The application fee & first month's tuition is required to complete registration and secure a place in the class.  Monthly payments are due the first of each month beginning with October.  Contact the Church office for further information at 269 694-9481.

OUR TEACHER
Mrs. Joy Herrick is well qualified by training, experience, and spirit to work with pre-school children.  She has a great love for children and for learning.

The Ark Preschool also has a Teacher's Assistant, Mrs. Jane Bomeli, who plays a vital role in the classroom.

A MESSAGE FROM THE TEACHER
Welcome to the Ark!  In a caring and positive atmosphere, I seek to create a happy place for preschoolers to learn and have just plain fun.  Children are given opportunities to learn and develop through exploration and play, as well as organized Kindergarten readiness learning centers.  These learning centers include Math, Science and Nature, Art, and Language Arts.

Each child is a special individual!  I teach the love of learning by allowing children to experience their own stage of developing and helping them to feel success without pressure.

Your child will learn by being involved with stories, songs, rhythm and movement, show and tell, and outside play.  In addition, the Ark has monthly Field Trips. I am very excited about teaching your preschooler this year at the Ark.
